I had the pleasure of working closely with Andy in my final year at the BBC on The Grid project. He was a delight to work with, a positive and patient man who was always getting us coffee + chocolate! I am certain that we wouldn't have been able to deliver what we did without his forethought - and definitely wouldn't have had as much fun. Very sad that I won't get the chance to work with him again in the future, he will be sorely missed.
I was lucky enough to work with Andy on a couple of projects over the last few years and always found him to be patient, kind and generous (with both his time and insistence on buying the coffee). His unfalteringly positive attitude was infectious and would improve any meeting. It's truly sad that I won't get the chance again to bump into him around the building for a brief catch up. He will be sorely missed.
The sudden loss of such dear and kind colleague, friend and husband creates unbelievable sadness. My colleagues at Reuters and I had the pleasure to work with Andy Read. We will remember him as a cheerful and a great person to work with who was always so collaborative. We will miss him. I´d like to share a photo with you that Andy sent on 28th October 2020. A beautiful memory.
It's been a genuine pleasure working with Andy over the last couple of years. We're were chatting just a week ago, and to break the monotony away from Edison race calls the conversation turned to Andy's love of baking bread (what's not to love about a man who loves dogs and baking!), and he sent me a picture of his bagels. I'll post it in the gallery.
