One of the things that struck me about Andy was that he was a "super sharer" - more than anyone else in the team he would share articles, ideas, or insights that he'd picked up at conferences or browsing around the internet. He was generous with his knowledge and always curious in learning about the latest trends. His partnerships internally in the BBC and externally with the rest of the industry were where he made the greatest impact - either through the work with IPTC or with the Guardian on the Grid project.
It seems fitting that the project he'd been working on was an open source project - sharing and partnership running right through it from the core
A genuinely lovely man, who knew his stuff, and got things done.
